Square Peg(gs) in round holes!

I was on the lookout for something a little different for the 'square' theme this month.. but what? I had thought of finding the most perfect square vanilla slice and snapping it in all it's layered lusciousness.. annoyingly most vs's come rectangle in shape these days. My mega  slightly eggcentric brother in law produced what can only be described as an 'egg press' c1980.. my first thought was WHY? Then the quirkiness factor plus the opportunity to show off some of the really cute egg cups I've collected over the years took over and here we have.. l'œuf carré. I'm still wondering WHY :) Looking forward to checking out squares from around the world here.  Happy Thursday, take care...p.s boiled eggs smell the same whatever the shape.. phew!

  18. I suppose a square egg is easier to slice but I am really not sure about whether I would eat one.

  21. Egg cups holding squared (or cubed) boiled eggs? What will they think of next.

When I come across a good egg cup, where do I ship it?

  24. I love your egg cups! Square hardboiled eggs should be easier to slice—regular ones have a tendency to roll around the plate.

  32. the square egg is certainly an interesting specimen. has your BIL not made any square egg cups to hold it properly? or does he just use a plate? (I have square plates that would suit)

Well, maybe no fame. But yes, Barcelona it is.
Had some safety scares, an averted identity theft, so I decided to go slightly less public.
