Searching for colour.....

Reflections of the old Fremantle Technical School caught in the colourful window of Wendy Binks Gallery (click the link and check out her work it's brilliant) in Fremantle where I went in search of something quirky and vibrant to hang in my new kitchen.. It was almost impossible to choose it's all  fabulous. I narrowed it down to two.. galahs or kookaburras, finally as I see galah's every day in my back garden I chose the kookaburra's (below) because they only pop in now and then, this way I'll see them every day :) I hope you have a colourful weekend, take care.....click here to see more reflections from around the world.....

  7. Oh, those colors really do pop out! (Reminds me of an old song from school: "Kookaburra sits in an old gum tree/Merry merry king of the bush is he..."). Would love to shop here:)

  15. Wonderful choice Grace, although I can imagine how hard it was! Wendy paints Oz nature beautifully and of course, writes fabulous children's books which she illustrates as well. Great pressies for Great Nephews and Nieces too! Have you sent her this post? I'm linked to her on FB so I will, if you like. xx

  22. So to see you found it. By the way the building on your banner let me think about Federal Plaza in Melbourne. Same architects?

  25. Thanks again, Grace, we still need to have it presented properly, it´s beautiful and we happened to see - and hear - wild Kookaburras in 1999, too! Finally today (Monday night) I feel like a human being again, it really was an awful flight back with Emirates....
