The brekkie rush.....

It's been awhile since I snapped my feathered friends in the back garden so knowing that I wouldn't have the time or opportunity yesterday to pick up my camera later in the day all I had to do was step outside my back door about ten minutes after I'd filled the seed trays at 8 am to catch the brekkie rush. Even though the equation was a wee bit unbalanced...two pink Galahs to a flock of turtle doves, it was very obvious that size 'does' matter :) I'm hoping for a quieter day to sort through some photos I took last week and catch up..hope your week is off to a good start, happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe.....

  14. Galahs good. Doves, not so good but impressively snapped before landing.

  15. That is very similar to the way my feeder looks when I fill it. I'm amazed at how fast they can make their way through what looks to me like quite a lot of food.

  16. I still can't get adjusted to the idea that it is still Monday here and Tuesday for you. And....you have been painting those birds pink, haven't you :). I can hardly believe my eyes, Grace. Super shots!!

  17. Love the colors in these, Gracie. I especially that second shot, wings flared in preparation for landing.

BTW, the LRB is the same band so were referring to from Australia; however none of the original members are with the band anymore.

  23. Wonderful clear shots Grace. I have come to expect this in your photography. They are terrific. I really love the one of the bird in flight and would have a go at cropping just this one bird to see what it looked like. The sunlight behind the feathers looks quite special.

PS. On our trip to Guatemala, we ran into so many Australians on holiday! Several were from Perth and I thought of you. Your pics from around Perth helped
