Monkey magic....!
I wasn't expecting this! Spotted while walking down James Street from the Northbridge Piazza yesterday. Not sure why the disguise, he was good, no need to hide! Moonlighting maybe :) Darn, he looked up and spotted me across the road..I don't know about you, but if I get caught taking a shot of a busker and they suss me, I have to drop in a donation..well it's only right yeh! Bit disconcerting being checked out by a chimp :). It's getting a wee bit chilly in the evening here in Perth, I might have to break out the heatbag! Have a fab Sunday, take care and stay safe.....

ReplyDeleteChimp celebrity's! Perth has it ALL!
ReplyDeleteAloha
Very cool, Grace!
ReplyDeleteHahaha!!! That would freak me out!!! Did you talk to him??? Find out w-h-y??? Thanks for the morning laugh!!!
ReplyDeleteHow to become famous when wearing a mask?Or he just wants to play music for pleasure?or he's ashamed to have to play to earn money? or he's Bruno MArs?...
ReplyDeleteInteresting anyway!
I'm jealous. I was kind of happy with pics I took today and now they seem so bland!!! Brilliant find!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteAre you absolutely sure that he was wearing a mask Grace? Perhaps the look was to say "what are you looking at , so what if I'm a touch hirsute". ... Just thinking outside the box. But you did capture his natural self beautifully.
ReplyDeleteWell I’ll be a monkey's uncle!
ReplyDeleteOh...that second shot is almost scary!....Hope you are enjoying Your Sunday. No monkeying around!
ReplyDeleteProbably someone famous who is getting back to their roots. Like you, if I obviously take a photo of a busker, I feel obliged to drop a gold coin.
ReplyDeleteI would really like to play guitar like this monkey!
ReplyDeleteGood Weekend.
Hugs and kisses.
Return to the planet of the apes!!! So did you give him money, Grace?
ReplyDeleteNow a days you have to have a gimmick.
ReplyDeleteStrange disguise indeed!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture... I like the mask.. makes for a more interesting pic
ReplyDeletePerhaps he was a celebrity not wanting to be recognized while he got down on the street.
ReplyDeleteIt is a strange habit, I noticed one with a horsehead in Amsterdam lately.... Have no idea what's the meaning of it. Must be rather warm to play music like this.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he is already famous and he was trying something different to see people's reaction about his mask! :)
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are great!
Léia
That is a really interesting sight Grace. Have not seen anything like that before about town.
ReplyDeletemaybe he figured his interesting face would get him more attention...which it did! like these shots Grace!
ReplyDeleteNow that is very unusual. I wonder it the disguise helps with the collection.
ReplyDeleteHilarious!
ReplyDeleteOh Grace :). Too funny. Made my Sunday night!!!! Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few big apes busking in my time.....
ReplyDeleteA bit of monkey business going on perhaps? Good photos.
ReplyDeleteHaha, love them both! Love some of this running commentary about it too:) I would've felt compelled to drop in some money myself - hope you are staying warm!
ReplyDeleteShooting a Planet of The Apes sequel in Perth?
ReplyDeleteCute guy :-)
ReplyDeletethat is a hoot .. have you seen Family Tree? its a Christopher Guest series on HBO ..
ReplyDeleteThe photos made me giggle, Grace, so I think the donation was worth it. (Yeah, easy for me to say since it was YOUR money.)
ReplyDeleteHe looks cute:)
ReplyDeleteSo cool and funny!
