The Spectacles Aboriginal Heritage Trail..

"Our ancestors roamed all over here. There was plenty of food, bush food, and plenty of animals. They all came in here for a drink even when most other water holes were dried up".. As told by Nyoongar Elder and Custodian Joe Walley..

I think about that! The Spectacle Aboriginal Heritage Trail is a five km loop walk through some incredibly diverse terrain.. the light at 5.30am was gorgeous. There was a majestic old  tree at the start of the walk and two magnificent old beauties at the end, with many tall trees creating early morning shadows along the way. I'm not going to say too much and hope you enjoy the walk with me. We saw not another soul the whole way, which was perfect :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..

  1. Wow, Grace! That was something spectacular! I know little or nothing about Australia ... also the history of this country I don't know, so everything you tell me here is new and very welcome! Many thanks!

  4. Thank you for taking us along with you on this beautiful walk. I bet standing in the blind watching the water would result in many sightings of local wildlife, especially early in the morning.

  7. Dearest Grace,
I've always wanted to be able to step 500 or 1,000 years back in time and see how our ancestors lived or better phrased; struggled!
    Interesting trail for walking.
    Hugs,

  8. That looks a great walk, or walkabout. It's amazing how people could survive with so little.

  13. Grace, funny you! WE should not see another soul for the time being but people are out and about (which is good, the body needs fresh air to stay healthy, just keep the distance and all is OK!)

Yupp. The socks. It can get as hot as it can, right, LOL - Oh, please! Ingo said P showed him the program he edits pics with and it´s for free. Can you let me know which program that is?
I´m using a real old one and found no really satisfying online ones...

Thank you for the nice morning-walk. Already 07:18 here and still dark....

P.S. see here... I really cannot send your and Sami´s parcel out, Australia: code orange. - at least for Northern Germany. I really do check every day, but we are still in hard lockdown, bu-huu.
