Vineyard views..

On Thursday we took a drive to the Swan Valley, WA's oldest wine growing region just 25 minutes from Perth. Mon amie française Marie is heading off to her homeland for a few months next week so a bon voyage lunch at the beautiful Mandoon Estate was the best way to dispel any temptation she may have to stay en France :) After a few glasses of icy cold award winning chardonnay on a warm sunny WA day, I don't think there is anything to worry about there 😉 Happy weekend, take care and stay safe..

  3. Beautiful vineyard. Oh, the French countryside, vineyards, wineries, and the food. May still be a temptation to stay in France. There are vineyards near here and a winery just down the road from our house, and I drink wine from Australia!

  4. That looks like a fabulous place for a farewell lunch. In fact, it looks like a great place for any kind of lunch. I wonder if any of that Western Australia wine gets exposed to the states.

  5. France is difficult to leave once you get there though 😊 Just think of the wine and cognac pretty much on tap. I am sure she will return though the Southern hemisphere is a great attraction! Take care Diane

  8. I have had wine from that area that my friend has brought back. He is heading to Perth again in 2 weeks so hopefully we will get to sample more good Australian wine when he comes back!

  11. Sounds like fun. A friend of mine lives in the Napa Valley wine growing region of California and we enjoyed similar days and meals like that when I still lived in California.
