Line up the hats!

I really must stop using the expression 'I'll eat my hat if..."! I remember saying that when the Florence Hummerston Kiosk was dismantled from its original spot on the Esplanade when the construction of Elizabeth Quay began.. to be stored and rebuilt on the island at the new quay. ' Sure it will, I'll eat my hat if that happens' said I . Actually I said that about the whole of EQ :) Here it is sitting pretty with the Bell Tower behind.. now home to Isle of Voyage it's not a bad spot to take in city and river views. I'm happy to put my hand up when I've made a mistake.. good job too, I seem to make a lot of them :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.. p.s. how good are you at admitting you've made a mistake, some people just can't do it :)

It depends on the nature of the mistake.

  3. Mistakes do happen. We just need to fix them, and move on. Like your photos, especially the second one of the bridge with the Kiosk in the background. It has great lines.

  11. Excellent view Grace! Maybe they should place you on an approval committee before any new city plans are adopted. With your approval, everyone could avoid mistakes. Making mistakes is ok if you can learn from them.
Enjoy the day Grace and make as many mistakes as you wish :)

  21. Admitting mistakes, mmm yes mostly! wow the new development looks good. I know where the Bell Tower is but I can't seem to get my bearings, however I can see for myself in a few weeks time, I'm visiting my daughter in Freo in November, I'm sooooo excited!

  22. It's all very attractive but I can understand your reluctance to embrace change when you're not sure what that change will bring and and you know change often makes things worse than they were before...however, sometimes change is good and now I'm wondering how that hat tasted. Actually, I'm wondering if baseball caps taste different than sombreros or trilbys...😍

  23. Interesting modern architecture. Similar to the architecture begins to be also here. The use of metal arches, fences, ropes and sails.
