Not so super moon..

Yesterday evening around 7.30 Aimee and I zipped down to Hillarys Boat Harbour to see if we could get any decent shots of the Super Moon from atop the lighthouse. It was an epic fail on my part, the same old story no tripod etc. but I did quite like this shot above of the lighthouse reflection in the water and the after sunset sky. The shot below, taken from where you can see the people above, may not look so super moonish, you're just going to have to take my word for it :) Might have another try tonight..with a tripod! Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..

  2. You got two wonderful photos from the experience at any rate. I'm like you - I can never get a decent moon shot without a tripod.

  4. WE had a wonderfully clear sky here so the view of the moon was fabulous. I didn't even try for a pic!

  10. Cloud cover spoilt our view, but I did see it briefly. I really like the second photo.

  13. At least you saw the moon. Cloud cover here. The supermoon may not look much bigger than normal, but the moon will be at its closest distance to us for a long time. I love the lighthouse photo.

  15. Haven't seen a super moon last night, to many clouds here, I'll have to wait 48 years for the next chance :)

  19. The not so super moon was a fizzer last night in Sydney too due to rain clouds. I got some shots earlier tonight but haven't looked at them yet. I like your lighthouse photos, what a pretty view.
