Walk with me II ..

I think I must finally be getting acclimatized to Perth summers.. it's only taken thirty years or so :) It was 38C yesterday and here I was out and about! One thing is for certain I couldn't live anywhere but by the sea, the sea breeze is a life saver! Sorrento Beach looks a bit quiet, would have been much busier earlier in the day. Below looking up to the marina and the lighthouse which is where we're off to..

Walking along the rocks to the lighthouse.. can you see what I see down there? You'll have to pull it in close..

I like to stand in the shade of the lighthouse and watch the seafarers returning to harbour, yesterday they seemed to return by size of vessel..  and then there were those who preferred to do their fishing from the rocks, if I was 'into' fishing that would be my choice :) Much cooler today 30C, might have to pop on a jumper :) Happy Monday, or Sunday.. take care and stay safe..

City Daily Photo bloggers post photographs on a theme on the first day of each month.  On
February 1, they will address this intriguing question:  If you had to leave forever the city
from which you usually post, what would you miss most

  4. Schöne Bilder vom Hafen mit den einfahrenden Booten. 30°C eine tolle Temperatur bei uns sind nur 3°C und Regen.

  6. Such gorgeous sunshine blessed scenes. There is just something about watching the water that really appeals to me. I just like to watch, I don't care to be on it.

  7. Oh the sea, the sea, the beautiful sea. You are fortunate to have the sea to moderate the heat. Inland Florida in the summer can be beastly hot, as well, but too far from the sea! Your photos are glorious and inviting. That little critter there reminds me of some of my teachers when I was young - crabby!

  9. I feel hot just looking at the scenes and I am not envious. 20 degrees forecast here today, perfect.

  10. That looks so warm that I'd probably join the crab in the water!

  11. You live with great privilege. I grew up maybe 5 km from a big river and 15 or 20 from the Atlantic. You wouldn't find live crabs on a bit of it.

Thanks for the reminder about theme day. It gets by me so often. Is the answer obvious in my case? I'll think on it.

  14. I'm not sure I would ever get used tour hot summers, Grace. For sure I DO love your colourful photos, though, Quite a contrast to the white and grey I've been posting lately. :))

  19. We both live in cities by the sea
    far from others,
    rooted in our hearts
by now - despite the sometimes heat :-)

  20. The crabby character blends so well into the texture and colours of the rock. I too love sea worlds and couldn't live without them. But our peninsula temperatures over the last few days have been struggling to hold 20 degrees celsius. I only take off my jacket when it warms up late afternoon - and then only briefly.

  21. Awww, beautiful pics, Grace! And, yes - when we were travelling your country in the 40C range and it dropped we also put on a jumper at 30C and felt silly :-)
    2C here right now outside.

  31. Thanks for taking us along on your walk. Your summer temps are much like ours Grace. Growing up, my house was just blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and we always had a nice sea breeze. It was a life saver, especially since we didn't have air conditioning until I was a teenager!
