Eleven times brave.....!

The theme for CDP'ers on this first day of March is 'people on the street'. I confess that despite making it my New Years resolution.. that and losing 5 kgs :) to become more confident in approaching likely 'candidates' and ask the question, I still get apprehensive and in some cases just can't do it, but looking back at posts since the beginning of the year I have been brave eleven times.. and that's not counting the 'photo-napping' or the Southern Elephant Seal nicknamed Stephen Sealberg :) getting better! Taken at the Japan Festival on Sunday the young girls above were more than happy to pose for me. It'll take some time to get as confident as Jack or Stefan but it's a start! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, take care..... To see more 'people on the street' from around the world Click here.....

  2. This is wonderful! They all look so cute and innocent in their various costumes. It's amazing but most people are happy to pose for the camera if they're asked nicely. Photos like this warm the cockles of my heart! :)

  8. Yes, I find myself a bit too timid as well. But my resolution this year is to change that. You are off to a good start this year. This is a wonderful group portrait.

  18. P.S. I loved that Calder MoMA work you shared, so lucky you had that piece traveling to your neck of woods!

  19. Yes, just like Japanese cartoon women. A little outside of the Crowe family value system. If I ever get to Perth we'll go out for a walk and I'll show you how to get people to let you take their pictures. And it won't all be because of my cute American accent.

  24. It is an excellent photo, I never dare to ask, I just snap them on the street with a zoom. I like them more as a snaphot and not posing.
