Who's a pretty boy.....!

You may or may not know that our recently elected (?) PM has a penchant for wearing 'budgie smugglers' when he goes for a dip.. I took this shot on Saturday after the elections and couldn't help wondering..nah! let's not go there :)) It's one of my favourite murals in the city on the corner of Wellington and William St. I always look forward to seeing it when walking over the Horseshoe Bridge into the city, something sweet at Tartine Cafe is a delish bonus! It was created by the very talented WA artist Anya Brock who's studio is on my visit list..I have just the spot for a giant budgerigar, seriously I do! Hope your week has started well, I'd like to say mine has but I'd be fibbing :) Take care and stay safe....Linking to Monday Mural..

  1. I had to click on your link to see what a budgie smuggler was. I'm almost sorry I did. Most politicians really don't have the bodies for that sort of swim gear. That said, that mural is very cute. I can see why you would like it.

  8. My week started with sunshine. And very warm weather, at least for Sweden in September. Oh, and I never use budgie smugglers.

  16. The budgie is good. Wouldn't it be good on a pet shop window.

  17. Funny to see a budgie at a French Cafe .... he's obviously got refined tastebuds. No seeds and nuts for this bird it's tarte-tartine washed down with a very strong espresso.

  29. Grace, you decided to play! Welcome, girl. Very endearing pretty bird image. No wonder you look forward to seeing it on your way to the cafe. I say go for it to have your very own sweet bird. Oh, and thanks for the local language translation. I was in the dark. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  30. Don't know why I thought of it, but that could SO be from the cover of a Beatles album circa Sgt. Pepper or Magical Mystery Tour.
