Footy v elegance.....!

Although the game of Aussie Rules football holds no allure :) for me it was excellent to see the support and excitement for the Fremantle Dockers in their hometown this week. Fremantle was awash with purple and white.. balloons and spirits flying high in anticipation of a win in the second preliminary final against the Sydney Swans today. I really feel I should care :) the Dockers are WA's only hope of winning the Grand final this year...Go Dockers!! Personally I like to 'reflect' on more pleasing scenarios, such as the ornate dome and corner turret of the tres elegant Esplanade Hotel below. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, take care.... linking to James's Weekend Reflections.

  5. I find it difficult to comprehend the sports madness, how can a bunch of people paid a lot of money represent anything?

  6. I'm with you on the sports bit:) No interest at all in that stupid stuff....BUT our spouses are occupied with it all allowing us to hang out with our friends and take pictures:) To each their own. You have a great weekend as well!

  8. I believe that sport gives movement to the city.
I think, too, that the sport should be valued in proportion.
    Wonderful, as always, pictures.
    Hugs and kisses.

  22. I must admit, I prefer to reflect on architectural style rather than footy. The football hype tends to get overwhelming. But each to his own. However, the reflections of footy and architecture make a great photo op.

  23. I love all the bright BLUE in your images.

  24. I'm with you on this one. I feel like I should care about all our sports teams but I'd much rather be out taking pictures. However, as you know I do attend the occasional basketball game when the season arrives. That's because my friend is a huge fan with season tickets and she asks me to go with her. Her husband has lost all interest and hates to drive downtown.

  25. I'm not a fan of American football, but I know enough key phrases to attempt a conversation with oldest son. But I am a fan of your dome reflected. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
