Scaling the heights.....!

Sliding down a building tall
Hoping that I will not fall..
Who am I kidding that's not me
For way up there I'll never be.....!

Don't worry I don't plan to give up my day job, oh hang on a minute I don't have one haha! Can you see the window cleaners and their reflections? The mixture of old (by Australian standards) and new architectural design along St George's Terrace can be quite dramatic, these highrise office  buildings including the BHP Billiton building (bottom shot) in Brookfield Place are all shiny glass, mirror and geometric shapes and although I prefer the older style, these do make for fab photo opportunities oui! Midway point, hope your week is going well so far, take care and stay safe.....

  5. Perfect symphony of glass and steel! I could never be up there either, those brave, brave window cleaners, haha. Love that the BHP Billiton has super-speedy glass lifts, what a way to start a day at the office:)

(I love roses too & was thrilled to see autumn blooms! Doesn't take much to make me happy:)

  7. Scenes of power and drama! I do love all the glass and the straight lines, but also like old brick buildings with towers and cupolas. It's always nice that as more modern structures are built, we take care of the older buildings also.

You could not get me to do the window washing job for all the money in the world.

  11. Your poem was very enjoyable indeed as was the reflection of the window cleaners who can keep that job to themselves.

  12. Cruel structures Grace. Like your angles and take for the pics. Not big on heights. For a tall guy, I'm pretty shaky on staircases and steep trails:)

  21. Nerves of steel. That's what you would need to keep these windows. Windex alone just wouldn't be enough!

  22. Yes cities are growing and going up in the air. I like your photos and those window cleaners hanging on the building. I wouldn't do that for a million.

  23. I love sky scrapers. I don't know why but, I do. Of course, you wouldn't catch me doing that window washing thing either. I can't even imagine that.
