Looking left and right, North and South.....!!

When you stand at the viewpoint in  Kings Park and look to the right as in the top picture you see the Freeway heading South over The Narrows Bridge towards Mandurah, here where the Swan River widens is where many of the yacht clubs hold their regattas. Along both sides of the South foreshore are much sought after apartment buildings with fantastic views. When you look left as in the second picture, there is the City of Perth and the Freeway system heading North, that's my direction and it heads up to some of the best beaches in Perth, including Cottesloe, Scarborough and Sorrento..I thought it was about time I showed Perth, the big picture, in the daylight, what do you think of her.....?

  3. Not bad! Looks like a similar size to here, but your riverfront is a lot prettier.

  5. Interesting to look both ways from a viewpoint - now I'm wondering what is seen in the opposite direction away from the city.

  6. C'est très joli tout ça! Et tu vois, ma première impression, lorsque je regarde la plupart des paysages australiens de la côte, c'est que je ressens le modernisme des villes américaines et la propreté des rives de lacs suisses.
En tout cas, c'est très beau.

  7. Very nice. I have heard Kings Park is wonderful, but it looks like freeways got the best river frontage property.

  8. Excellent information on the pretty pictures. I am glad that you put photos on the blog. City is beautiful and there mainly about cleaner air than you have for us in Central Europe. Thank you. Very nice day full of sunshine wishes Peter.

  10. Fantastic Grace! You've whetted my appetite to visit even more! I always thinks that the freeway makes Perth look the most American of Australian cities.

  24. It is a good sized city. Maybe because it is a newer city, it seems to have better land use planning than some older cities.
