Frilly round the edges.....!!

I know that there are many horticulturists working away in garden nursery's all over the world pollinating and cross pollinating plants of all different species to create the next flower with the 'WOW' factor.....!! I'm not sure what they've crossed with this gorgeous Pansy I bought recently to get the pale lavender frilly edge, but it certainly makes me happy when I step out in the morning.....!!

  2. One of my favourites - we see them just after all the snow has gone and they are always so cheerful - that is a beauty!

  3. Having internet problems. Let me try again. I said that these are pretty, but it seems odd seeing pansies at this time of year. Around here, pansies are March and April flowers.

  4. I have always loved the "faces" on these lovely little blooms. And the ruffled edges make them even more attractive.

  5. I love seeing these happy-face flowers which we love in our spring... We often wind up feeding them to the yard rabbits who think of them as dessert!

  7. I'm a sucker for pansies Grace. Something to do with them giving such a great show of colour when you need it the most. Yours with the purple ruffle is unusual and very lovely.

  14. In french , they are called "pensées", which means "thoughts". When I was a kid, we often made them dry and offered them to a person we loved, to make him or her think of us..
