Birds in my garden III.....

High at the top of the palm tree these three Corellas between them can make a fair bit of noise, you can see one of them is probably screeching at me to hurry up with breakfast....! Corellas are a type of small white cockatoo (more), but unlike other members of the subgenus 'cacatua' they have pale beaks....They travel around in big flocks, landing to forage for a while then the word gets around and they take off all together, when they land in my back garden it's quite a sight, I never get tired of seeing them and they are so used to me now, I can walk through them and they just carry on feeding.....!! Happy Sunday.....!!

  2. What gorgeous feathered friends you have! I would love to have these guys come visit me. But, I guess that is a little too far to fly.

  4. Quite the group portrait but in your garden? We have a few gray doves and pretty red cardinals but nothing like this.

  11. What a sight! Very occasionally we get a flock of sulphur crested cockatoos just before the fruit on the trees ripen but never these corellas. Great colours in the top photo. The sky is just so blue.

  19. How I would love to see those beautiful creatures in flight and at rest. Yesterday I saw a woman walking down the streets of Santa Fe with one perched on her hand. Unusual. Great photos!
