Like any big city Perth has it's fair share of fabulous buskers and this super cool guy is one of my favorites, here he is doing his thing in
Forest Chase. He rocks those bagpipes with traditional Scottish music played in a very different way, I remember we saw him once when my Mum was along too, being a true Scot she wasn't terribly impressed with his rendition of 'The Bonnie Banks O' Loch Lomond' and especially not 'Amazing Grace' haha! I've never spoken to him so I don't know if he actually is a Scot, next time. Hope you have rockin' day.....!!
on dirait un joueur de cornemuse punk ;)
ReplyDeleteHa, that is indeed a cool busker, would be fun to hear him play.
ReplyDeletegot to love a man who plays his bagpipes sporting a mohawk and wearing a leather kilt! Wow, did my heart rate just go up...;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I have to agree with Theanne!! How cool is this guy!! A mohawk, leather kilt and a bagpipe! Oh, yeah, my kind of guy! What fun! Thanks for the giggle, Grace! Can always use one of those on a gray, rainy, chill Monday!!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Love these shots Grace!
ReplyDeleteMiss hearing that sound. Thank you for the memories. Please have a good Tuesday ahead.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I love the pipes!

He certainly looks animated!
ReplyDeleteWe could do with some creative busking down here, croaky old dudes with unruly facial hair & three chords just aren't doing it for me...
You should have told him your name and got your own personal serenade.
ReplyDeleteLooks like he´s having fun, that´s the most important thing!
ReplyDeleteThat's an aggressive stance. It reminds me of an American baseball player's body motions when swinging a bat.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I tried to imagine Paul Hogan saying Shock & Oar and I still don't get it.
Looks like one tough dude. Who would dare criticize him to his face?
ReplyDeleteI love this! Takes guts to make those moves in a kilt! What a find! Be sure to find out more about him next time, Grace! We're counting on you!
ReplyDeleteYour top photo is excellent. There is a rock bagpipe band that plays in Connecticut, called the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. Love the name, love your shot today.
ReplyDeleteHe's really rocking. Have you ever heard Shooglenifty?
ReplyDeleteWhat great images...so perfectly composed!
ReplyDeleteAmazing Grace played on the Bagpipes really tugs at the heart strings :-).
ReplyDeleteA punk bagpipes player.....wow, He must be fun to watch and listen too!
ReplyDeleteWonderful action shot. I like the perspective and stance in the top one. Can almost hear those bagpipes screaming.
ReplyDeleteEh bien dis donc! Il ne passe pas inaperçu, celui-là. Je pense qu'il obtient un grand succès et qu'il te tarde de pouvoir lui parler.
ReplyDeleteUne attraction vivante!
He looks like he's totally into it. Would love to hear what he sounds like.
ReplyDeleteHe looks Belgian to me lass.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the traditional pipe majors would make of it all.
ReplyDeleteToo funny and unusual.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth :)
I like Scottish music and this artist is very original.
ReplyDeleteKisses from Italy
He is rocking with intensity, it would be interesting to hear how he sounds like!
ReplyDeleteMakes a great and refreshing change from the usual pan-pipes and tin whistle...and he would certainly be a crowd-stopper with that look.
ReplyDeletel'angle de ta photo est trop bien
ReplyDeleteen plus le joueur est particulièrement photogénique
Haha! Just as well those tiles or cobblestones or whatever he's standing on aren't two-way mirrors, huh?!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's some bagpiper. Would like to hear him play. And a leather kilt...oh, by the way, speaking of kilt, there IS a way to see if he is a true Scottish bagpiper... ;<) :<o
ReplyDeleteHa,ha,ha, this is really funny to see, a rocking piper! I can't imagine how it sounds, but his moves are very comic.
ReplyDeleteHe's certainly quite the entertainer Grace!
ReplyDeleteHe seems to have an athletic way to live his "scot attitude"! :o)
ReplyDeleteGreat captures, Grace. The top one is fantastic!
ReplyDeletea perfect POV to capture his moves.. love these shots!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the Dropkick Murphys of Boston.
ReplyDeleteOch this is grrate! (Trying my Scottish accent here, hence the spelling. The accent is a wee bit rrrusty!)
ReplyDeleteWhatever is played on a bagpipe I love. Love love love. Wish I could hear him!
Great shots. Good point. The position of musician - the bagpipe player - they are great captured from an unusual angle. Have a nice day. Sincerely, Peter.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting and I think you took great "action" shots...not a bagpipe fan but this guy would be fun to watch!
ReplyDeleteKnew I'd seen this bloke before; "Australias got talent"
ReplyDeleteHe's from Freo and is also on You Tube : Freos bagpipe player.
Oh god! Loved that guy!!! Very strong photos!!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are... amazing, Grace! ;-)
ReplyDeletehaha! still can't imagine a rocker playing bagpipes with the tune of amazing grace! ^0^
ReplyDeletegreat catch! and stunning close up shots Grace. ^-^
The first photo is amazing !!!
ReplyDeleteBravo Grace.
I agree, he looks pretty cool, the guys who play the pipes here usually look like stuffed shirts!
