There is no walk in the park for some
No leisurely lunch with a chum
Too many details to thrash out
For some that's what life's all about
Put the mobile phone down and get walking
The office is the place for business... deals!
Oh come on, I couldn't have it rhyming all the way..
that would be way too cliché :)
Here's wishing and hoping for a safe and peaceful weekend, take care and stay safe...

Too many people let life pass them by while they're taking on more and more at work.
ReplyDeleteAh, I do agree with William, too many people letting life pass them by and never noticing the world and the people around them!! Terrific capture for the day and it says it all!! Have a fun weekend and ENJOY!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to disconnect these days!
ReplyDeletePoor guy ! ..
ReplyDeleteI wish you a great week-end, dear Gracie !
I was trying to look over his shoulder to see what kind of deal he was working on. :-)
ReplyDelete:-) x
ReplyDeleteHe has the plan ready! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend. Still Friday up here in the north.
Oh no! I like to try and avoid eating and working. Don't always manage to!
ReplyDeleteI like your poem, you are very talented Grace!
ReplyDeleteSuperb reflections which reflect the difficulty in eating lunch and working at the same time! Your poem is great - and great poetry need not rhyme. At least not on my dime. Not all the time. That must be a sign that my poetry is just fine.
ReplyDeleteThere is time for business
ReplyDeleteA time for a leisure lunch
Brisk walk afterwards
Nice reflections Grace! This does make me glad to be retired.
ReplyDeleteA myriad of reflections here. Have a good W/E (hot today!)
ReplyDeleteAt my office, I gave out incentives for people who walked, and tried to encourage people to go out together in groups for walks. In many cases they were talking business as they walked, but they also got some good aerobic exercise.
ReplyDeleteNice reflection.
ReplyDeleteNothing could make me work on a lunch break... An awesome reflection of a bad modern habit...
ReplyDeletejoli coups d oeil ;o)
ReplyDeleteThere is a reason I have voice mail on my phone.
ReplyDeleteLovely candid capture and candid verse!
ReplyDeleteWe thought all of this technology would give us more free time......not so.
ReplyDeleteHere I sit with an ipad in my lap while having coffe with my hubby.....I think I will sign off now. Janey
At least he leaves his office. I have to admit... there is nowhere to go where I work, so I stay put for lunch... But for now: A happy weekend, Grace!
ReplyDeleteI like Jack's solution. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteNever been able to do it. For me, it's either work, or it's lunch. Not both together. And I'm pretty good at multitasking too. But not this. Why?
ReplyDeleteI am glad this is not for me...
ReplyDeleteAnd that is why I don't carry a cell phone. :-)
ReplyDeleteI like street photo, even peeping through the window.
ReplyDeleteAnd reflective comments.
I agree with Birdman. You can´t enjoy your lunchbreak while working.
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorite types of photography. Street and reflection. Great shot!
