Or just about anything :) Last week when we were in the city we popped in to the City of Perth Library see how the view looking over to Elizabeth Quay has changed since the building of the new sky rise hotels is complete. Got a little sidetracked by the Lego in the foyer of the library. Above looking down St Georges Terrace there is even a mini Barracks Arch.. too cool. Sometimes you don't register the green spaces in a city until you see them laid out Lego style :) Happy Saturday, take care and stay safe..

Misty morning views..
Big men in kilts (last post) is a tough act to follow :) Hopefully the gorgeous early morning views that mon amie française Marie looks out on every day and that friends get to enjoy when they visit as I did on Wednesday will do the trick. Sitting on the patio of Marie's apartment looking out over the Swan River, the Garratt Road Bridge way in the background left, every now and then a canoeist silently rowing by.. I couldn't help thinking that I might not get much done if I had an enticing view like this tempting me out 💙 Where has this week gone! Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..

Highland Gathering.. Big men in kilts.
One last post from the Armadale Highland Gathering last weekend. You wouldn't dare call a man with a sword a sissy for wearing a kilt, although there were times when watching the swordplay and ensuing tussles that I hoped for all concerned they were wearing something underneath :)
...
As we were leaving we stopped to watch the shot-put competitors, one of the 'heavy events'. I thought blimey he's a big 'un, he's going to be hard to beat..
.... and then this guy came along :)
It's possible that I was a little distracted here.. I wish we had stayed for the tossing of the caber now 😉 The gathering was a super fun event on a beautiful spring day, definitely planning to wear tartan next year :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..

Highland Gathering.. all of the kilts.
Kilt.. it's what happened to the last person who called it a skirt 😉
If like moi, you love to see a man in a kilt.. the Armadale Highland Gathering was certainly the place to be last weekend. So many clan tartans.. the WA Police Pipe Band and the Perth Metro Pipe Band looked particularly fabulous..
My fav shot for today is Hamish and his human, love her tartan trews.. couldn't help wondering what treats she bought for him in Harrods 💙 One more post from the event tomorrow.. big men in kilts :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..

Get your neon on!
Following on with the Greek mythology theme, on the opposite wall of the Art Space Collective building to the mural seen here. The 'neon glow' created by using white lines under a transparent colour are the distinctive style of Perth street artist/muralist Drew Straker, you can see more of his amaaazing body of work here, so worth a click. No gas or glass involved.. pretty clever yeh! Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..

Highland Gathering.. besties.
The owner of the West Highland White terrier and the Scottish terrier
above told me that they have been best friends for many years. Look at those
faces, especially the Scottish terrier.. adorable much 💓 One of the main events I wanted to see yesterday at the Armadale Highland Gathering was the kilt run, and I did, but Aimee and I were totally distracted by the many adorable dogs here for the 'meet and greet Scottish dogs' event. I'm not usually a fan of dressing animals in costumes but, like the every second person in a kilt, it was most likely dressing for a special occasion.. did I mention Aimee was wearing tartan trousers :) More from the festival on Wednesday, lots of luvverly legs in kilts 😉 Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..

One of those moments..
Have you ever gone to a cafe just because you've seen something cute pop up on your Facebook page? The gentleman in the top hat and mustache popped up on mine and lured me in, and as the cafe in question is only fifteen minutes away what could I do but go and drink him :) Moments Cafe in Joondalup turned out to be so much more than a cute face on my coffee crema, excellent lunch and super friendly service. P got a 🐱:) If I made you smile my work is done, happy Sunday, take care and stay safe..
