Can I help?



Over the years a few have asked what the white structure seen on Murray Street in the city is. The Information kiosk run by friendly, bilingual volunteers is there to provide maps, directions and answers to the when, why and how of everything Perth related. The design of the kiosk  'incorporates two key components, the information kiosk booth and the canopy over extending to provide an outdoor covered area. The kiosk as a whole then becomes a meeting and greeting place and creates a dynamic experience for visitors to the City. The fluid form is an intentional counterpoint to the classical backdrop of the surrounding buildings. The volunteers are lovely and yes I did take these shots from Bocelli's Espresso šŸ˜Š Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..

    I love the style, Grace! I'm curious about what 2 languages are they bilingual in - here it is French & English because they are our official languages.

    They are great volunteers. A neighbour has been one in our Visitor Information Centre for 24 years.

    The building reminds me of a whale vertebrae on an even bigger scale. I like that multi-colored planter next to it. Nice shots.

    I remember one day Sami said she had a question and we went to this cool info stand (I love the architecture and that the people do it for just like that! I respect that, too).
    She asked about a statue of a girl holding a flower. The lady there had no clue and I blurted out, "you mean the one at Stirling Gardens on the way to Bell Tower?" and I was even right :-)
