...in these words enough to repeat the same passage over and over again....!!
and interestingly if you look closely you will see that in each section even though the words are the same, different 'words' and 'groups of words' have have been highlighted, and each section is in the same handwriting.... amazing dedication .....!! On the opposite wall in the very same lane.....
Bit of a contrast.....!! It's winter here in Australia and we're expecting 23C today, go figure ..!! Hope the sun's shining in some way for you today.....!!
This looks like something the members of the United States Congress should do! Each member should write this out 100 times! I bet it still wouldn't have any effect.
ReplyDeleteShame that more people do not decide to live a life by the wisdom of those words....
ReplyDeleteBeach walk for me today.....
Great post!
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty impressive, Grace. The stay-on-track wall is amazing. The other side needs a can of paint. Maybe two.
ReplyDeleteExcellent quote!
ReplyDeleteAmazing dedication to make a worthy statement! Very nice, but I agree with Jack about the other side of the street!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
Well that's a different sort of grafitti! I like the thought that went into it.
ReplyDeleteC'est très intéressant, cette pensée du jour. Tu nous interpelles et nous remets dans le droit chemin. Je pense qu'une telle piqure de rappel est nécessaire de temps en temps.
ReplyDeleteBon week-end à toi!
How interesting and cool is that?! I've never seen anything like it so thanks for showing it to me. Have a good weekend Grace.
ReplyDeleteI hope they are not written in chalk.
ReplyDeleteI love both sides of this little alleyway. I like the contrast between the black and white structured-ness and the all-over-the-place colour
ReplyDeleteThe idea is good, but I have never known, in all my life, a human being like that!
ReplyDeleteFascinating subject.
ReplyDeleteCan only see the words pic - looks like someone from PICA would do.
ReplyDeleteInteresting... someone painstakingly wrote all that. The other side is garishly done.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it was a punishment!
ReplyDeleteLove the graffiti too!
Have a great weekend Perth!
I often wonder who dreams up some of these public statements. Not quite sure what to make of either of these. One is colorful, and the other is stark. The black and white makes me think of the old punishment of writing something 100 times as a form of punishment.
ReplyDeleteHumans being what they are, no matter how much it's repeated and how capital it may be, it won't ever happen... It is sooooo sad.
ReplyDeleteThat pink is ever so slightly disturbing! :-)
23° eh? It's 25° here right now, just perfect! :-)
Interesting street art in your first photo Grace. Haven't seen that before. Hope you enjoyed our beautiful warm day here today.
ReplyDeleteI like these contrasting walls. They kind of play off each other in differnt ways.
ReplyDeleteI really like that first street art. If only writing those words over and over would make a difference. But as art, I like it very much.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to the first line. My report cards always had the "...a great student but tends to talk in class.." haha. These walls are really interesting! Hope you're enjoying your warm weekend!
ReplyDeleteInteresting...street art is it's own religion ;)
ReplyDeletethe person who wrote this was thinking that at leaast someone would read ONE of those sentences once..Beautyful and impressive idea anyway. Don't wish sun for us, please! We have much more than 30° , and it's hard to move and breath..
ReplyDeleteLove them both!
ReplyDeleteA juxtaposition from left to right... love both shots...
ReplyDeleteUnique this wall with all this writing!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Today in my city there were 41 degrees!
Like the writing, the sheer physicality of it. I enjoy looking a the different styles of handwriting and what they might tell us about the person who did the writing. A form of body language ...
ReplyDeleteawesome !
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of school days when I had to write out one hundred times - I will not pass notes during class!! ( which happened on a regular basis )
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering about the background of the -stay on track wall - and who wrote it??
Very interesting Grace.
What a very clever idea. Fantastic! And I love the walrus too.
ReplyDeleteHaving helped develop a strong character education program in the elementary school where I taught, I think these are excellent words to live by for ALL of us.
ReplyDeleteV
Fascinating that somebody would go to that effort, Grace. Nice post.
