Bonjour Perth..

Market Square Park in Subiaco is such a pretty park, perfect spot for the Bonjour Perth 2018 festival.. so much français fun. The weather was a leeetle inclement first thing in the morning but cleared to une belle journée. French stripes and berets were the order of the day, I wore le stripes but saving le beret for next year :) We devoured Raclette over new potatoes, délicieux 💙 My favourite artiste français Tankateo was there also, parfait! Unfortunately we missed the French Bulldog parade, check out the petit sweetie here, too cute.. in a weird sort of way :) All in all a super afternoon, merci beaucoup Bonjour Perth, see you next year. Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..

Where am I ?

Sounds a little like yesterday's where's Wally post :) Oh the things I ask the redhead to do! It wasn't just the fact that the cut-out characters were obviously designed for children that cracked me up when I downloaded the shot.. it was the hand sticking out the side clutching her ice-cream, hilarious 😊 If Tintin, aka Aimee, above wasn't a big enough clue to where we were how about the young ladies below? Show you tomorrow when I've edited the pics. Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. Obelisk and Asterisk were there also.. she refused point blank :)

Where's Wally?

I love coming across these little surprises! I'm pretty sure most of us have searched for Wally at some point and although not expecting to see him in Freo he was pretty easy to spot without the usual mob surrounding him. Created and published 1987 in the UK, later published in US under the name Waldo. Wally at one point even made it on to the banned book list in the US.. you really have to read why here, unbloominbelievable! I have to admit I missed the 'side-boob' in the crowd, or maybe I just wasn't looking for it. How about you, were you scandalized :) Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. you should be used to my tongue-in-cheek humour by now right 😉

A memorable day..

Was happy with the shot above taken from the far side of Elizabeth Quay, long lens no tripod! The Remembrance Day Centenary Service held by the State War Memorial up in Kings Park.. the flag at half mast, as were all flags around the city yesterday. A Military Gun Salute fired on the half hour from 9am until seconds before the 11th hour to symbolise when the guns fell silent. Below by the Bell Tower along with many others to observe a minutes silence at 11am followed by the first public ringing of the Anzac Bell, installed in time especially for Remembrance Day. Somehow managed to cut off the top of the Bell tower, but you've seen it before right :) Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..

We Will Remember Them..

When you go home
tell them of us
and say
"For your tomorrow,
we gave our today."

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them'..

Voluptuous Vintage..

Ding, ding, ding.. Jackpot! I didn't know where to look first when we arrived in Leederville early last Sunday morning. Curvaceous vintage vehicles lining each side of the main street. The thing that always strikes me about these old beauties is that they are mostly booty or bonnet with comparatively little seating space, it was all about the look! I think my fav here is the vehicle four pics down, it's blue and that is indeed an impressive booty :)

I wish I had waited a few more minutes to see which of the three gentlemen below got into which car but the call to coffee was too strong :) Happy weekend, take care and stay safe. P.s. After my last vehicular identification disaster I might let you sort these out yourself if interested 😉

Glamping on Pinky's Beach..

I'm not a happy camper but I think I could happily 'glamp' :) 'From Lonely Planet to the Huffington Post Discovery Rottnest Island, opened for bookings now, has been a highly anticipated project'. Rottnest Island is a forty five minute ferry ride from Hillarys Boat Harbour and a twenty five minute trip from Fremantle Harbour. The island's first Eco-resort, have a read about it here, sounds incroyable.. one more thing to add to the 'to do' list, but the ocean will have to be a lot calmer than it was the last time I ventured out to the island :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..
