Missing piece of the puzzle.....!
If there's one thing that blogging has taught me it's how to work my way around Google!! It's all good, I'm finding out more about Perth than I ever did before, it's always interesting to discover new things about the city you live in! This 'grungy' area is between what was the Savoy Hotel built in 1914 and the Perth Town Hall built in the late 1860's on the corner of Hay and Barrack's Street. I almost wore my pointy finger out trying to find out what building was demolished in between them leaving this urban 'scar' for all to see. Turns out it was the R & I Bank (Rural & Industries Bank of WA) flattened in 1994/5, moving to St. George's Terrace and changing it's name to Bank of WA, and later to BankWest, mystery solved! No matter how hard I searched I couldn't find out anything about the mural on the wall between the two buildings, which looks like at one time it would have been visually appealing, but suffers now from the common mural affliction of graffiti. I hope your week is off to a good start, the weather here in Perth is bliss.....!

G'day mate.....!
Aimee and I haven't been walking together for ages, she's been busy, I've been busy, you know how it goes! Yesterday however we were in like minds and set off on one of our favorite walks through Hepburn Heights bushland and Pinaroo Valley Memorial Park . I think even the kangaroos were pleased to see us, standing up alongside the path as we went past looking as if to say 'G'day mate, where've you been!!' We're getting in some practice for the Mother's Day Classic in May, an 8kms walk to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. I can't think of a better way to spend Mother's Day apart from if my Mum was here to share it, THAT would be the best! A fresh week beginning, let's hope it's a good one.....

Birds in my garden VII.....
As all the birds here are Little Corellas and entirely white apart from the blue and pink around the eye area, it was a good opportunity to play around a little (well a lot actually) with B&W and shadows, not sacrificing an abundance of colour in the process. It was a weird day yesterday, I spent the whole day thinking it was Sunday, so you can imagine my delight when I realized there's still a whole day of the weekend left, joy! I hope your day is a lot more colourful than these images.....!!

High on the hill.....
I pass this bench sitting solitary on the top of a sand dune every time I do the Burns Beach walk and each time I see it I think how pleasant it would be to stop for a few minutes, sit and take in the sights and smells of the Indian Ocean, sadly I never do..life seems to be one big rush, like yesterday for instance, ziiiiiiiip it's gone and I didn't get a chance to make any visits, will catch up today! I hope you 'chill out' this weekend..I hope I do too haha!

From bank to swank.....!
899 Hay Street in the west end of Perth, once home to the The Bank of New South Wales, now the showroom of Canali an exclusive Italian menswear clothing line established in 1934 by brothers Giovanni and Giacomo and considered amongst the greatest men's suit designers in the world. Along the same street and close by are the showrooms for Versace and Hugo Boss, so I think I can quite confidently say to the discerning male dressers out there... if you have 'molto denaro' we've got you covered! Hope you have a fabulous Thursday.....

Ripples at Mawson Park.....!
I kind of like this image because it reminds me of a painting done in the 'Pointillism' style, do you see it? and also for the many contrasting shades of Aussie green and gold in the ripply reflections. Well here we are at middle point of the week again, hope you have a great Wednesday, I have a feeling mine will be fantastic.....! It's heating up again in Perth, 35C yesterday.....
