I just have to remind myself the whole flight that the destination is worth the journey. As others have mentioned, there are courses offered by some airlines to help nervous flyers overcome their fear, so perhaps there's something on offer by Qantas?
All the best of luck and I really hope you do get to conquer that fear this year...the rest of the world awaits you :-)Natstraveloguehttps://natstravelogue.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8095932046263663417.post-67057308819932441502017-01-03T10:03:31.330+08:002017-01-03T10:03:31.330+08:00Can't help either as I love flying, just wish &...Can't help either as I love flying, just wish "cattle class" would be more comfortable on long flights. When my brother was alive they wouldn't fly from London to Australia to visit us. They didn't fly anywhere for holidays. They would go by ship or train. However, since my brother died in 2009 my SIL has had to overcome her fear because she wants to spend time with her sons. One lives in Australia and one lives in St Lucia, West Indies. She has been to Australia twice now and she flies 3 or 4 times a year to St Lucia. I can ask her to write to you if you like. I'm not sure how she did it. I think she may have tried hypnosis but not sure.diane bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12002292118984909883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8095932046263663417.post-81975479038007170262017-01-02T08:10:17.179+08:002017-01-02T08:10:17.179+08:00Happy New Year

Not only that, services to passengers have been cut back and now they are being charged for what used to be free services like meals, baggage check, etc. Planes are also more crowded. I'm perfectly content to stay home now. I prefer road trips to planes.BarbRadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15899642277679265680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8095932046263663417.post-76388453077920021802017-01-02T05:52:00.003+08:002017-01-02T05:52:00.003+08:00A combination of talk therapy and hypnotherapy has...A combination of talk therapy and hypnotherapy has been very helpful for me with my trypanophobia (fear of hypodermic needles). I love small to mid-size aircraft, but loath flying commercial. Kind of like freedom (general aviation) vs. (commercial aviation) a sardine can or a flying cattle car.

Bill Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14649212489891769390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8095932046263663417.post-1126021989035753172017-01-02T03:47:22.574+08:002017-01-02T03:47:22.574+08:00To answer your question about cold and frost. Good for you to work...Have a great New Year, Grace. Good for you to work on conquering your phobias. Just remember, flying is by far the safest way you can travel. Let the flight crew worry about flying the plane. They are professionals, and it is their job. Your job as passenger is to relax and enjoy yourself. Pay no attention to bumps or movement of the plane. Air is just like water, sometimes smooth and sometimes bumpy, but planes fly through almost anything. I have been flying as pilot and passenger for over 60 years, so I know something about this.
