The first Photo Market of the year, held in the Leederville Town Hall, was well attended yesterday. A nerdier bunch, myself included, you couldn't imagine 😉 Who doesn't love ogling beauties like the Bronica S2 above in its plush pink case, original I'm sure.. the price tag of $1200.00 was about $1150.00 too steep for my purse, but in my minimalist period the pleasure is in the looking :) What did you get up to this weekend? It zipped by way too fast here in Perth :) Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
...BIG boy toys!
ReplyDeleteJust don't let me go anywhere near a place like that!
ReplyDeleteI've got a couple of oldes I could have contributed. Neither is worth the big bucks you mentioned.
ReplyDeleteMost of this is way over my head and pocketbook! ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy sister Polly would have loved seeing all of those lenses! I went to a luncheon where the Dean of the new medical school at TCU was the speaker. Sounds boring but he was an entertaining speaker.
ReplyDeleteOh thats real fun and to make you jalous I bought 2 years ago the total content of your first photo (without suitcase unfortunately) for 500 euros. Results are really good. Have a secondhand camera trade fair next month. Now also with digital stuff. Rejoice already.
ReplyDeleteInteressant die alten Stücke.
ReplyDeleteNoke
Those are beauties!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a photographer's dream.
ReplyDeleteVerdadeiras relíquias, aproveito para desejar um bom Domingo.

I would have loved browsing through all those vintage beauties.
ReplyDeleteHow much for my Pentax ME super in black then
ReplyDeleteLOL, oh, my, good thing we had no idea, Grace! Have such a nerd sitting right here!!!;-)
ReplyDeleteGrace, If you want a Bronica S for $1200 I'll sell you mine including a few lenses, strobe, case, and backs. The SQ is newer and a much nicer camera, but neither one sells for more than a few hundred here in the USA. Looks like a nice selection of fine cameras though.
ReplyDeleteIt is surprising that there is still such interest in non digital cameras.
ReplyDeleteThat Bronica camera brought back memories. Had a friend who used one to shoot the Civil Rights movement in the early 1960s. He spent a year in danger while shooting protests, sit-ins, and demonstrations. The camera survived.
ReplyDeleteI can't acquire any more stuff until I learn to use what I've already got.
ReplyDeleteI think I spent most of the weekend in prolonged conversations with my husband about where we want to go this year. Good fun, especially when we're in agreement.
Great collections of camera.
ReplyDeleteI am a digital girl.
ReplyDeleteOh! Zenza Bronica !
ReplyDeleteIt is so nostalgic for me! ;)
Using Brownie roll-film (120 or 220), the square format camera with focal plane shutter made in Japan.
Competed with Hasselblad (Sweden).
Looks like a fun event. Really surprised film cameras go for so much. Wonder what my old Brownie would sell for!

Couldn't imagine that old cameras would be so expensive.
ReplyDeleteOh my, so many cameras. Do people buy them to actually use, or are they just beautiful collector museum pieces?
ReplyDeleteSorry the weather has been amazing and we have been gardening so getting very far behind with blogging! I fancy that camera case...... Have a good week Diane
ReplyDeleteI would love a browse there, Grace.
ReplyDeleteWonderful collection and everyone is quite fascinated!
ReplyDeleteThat looks a roomful of people interested …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
