The Great Outdoors.. Room with a View.

It's been a while since we've walked around Lake Yellagonga about ten minutes from home, usually starting the walk at the same point, Perry's Cottage, last seen here under a different sky. A few days ago that same sky was thunderous but we were lucky, after walking for an hour and a half we made it back to the car juuuust as the first drops fell :) The lake is starting to fill up after the recent rains, lots of water birds flying in, 120 species of birds have been recorded in this area, I won't wait so long before I visit again. Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..

  3. A perfect composition! If we saw that sky in Florida, we'd probably head for the hills - or some version thereof to get out of harm's way...this looks to me like it's hiding tornadoes in those clouds! :)

  4. That is a lovely pic, Grace! We are expecting thunderstorms here this afternoon so that sky looks familiar.

  6. Lovely photo - and a great sky. Good to be reminded that you're approaching winter over there. It's quite a warm summer here, for once, so maybe our temps are beating yours right now!

  9. It is a very appealing photo for a variety of reasons: composition of scene, colour contrasts, and very interesting scene.
