Took this shot while waiting at the Perth Domestic Airport for Aimee's plane to arrive from Sydney a few weeks ago.. I liked the half inside the terminal and half outside on the tarmac look created by my own shadow on the glass :) The shot below is a shocker but it does give a sense of the hustle and bustle out there on the tarmac and of course there's the redhead standing out in the crowd as always, it was good to have her home although it's always a wrench for all of us whenever we have to say goodbye to our precious Sydney famille. Bon weekend, take care and stay safe...
Count on airports to be hectic!
ReplyDeleteI love that top shot with the reflection. We can't get shots like this anymore because you can't get near the departure/arrival gates unless you are actually a passenger. I meant to take a few shots when I flew to California and back last weekend but when I was in that crowd of luggage hauling people I totally forgot.
ReplyDeleteWhat, no jetway?
ReplyDeleteYou did well getting a photo through the glass
ReplyDeleteLove that top shot too, Grace! Glad she is back home safe & sound!
ReplyDeleteHi Aimee! Nice shots that capture the frisson of the airport, Grace
ReplyDeleteYou have a good eye when it comes to spotting reflections, Grace.
ReplyDeleteLove your new header photo too!
Clever picture the first one.
ReplyDeleteWhy are airports such horrible places.
That's a good reflection using your shadow, a very creative idea. :) Airports can be crazy sometimes and relaxing other times. Little of both.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Grace!
Yes, this is creative!

This is a super shot; you do know your way around a camera! Love it! Glad, too, that the redhead got home safely!
ReplyDeleteNice how you captured both the gate and the plane.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY WEEKEND to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteIs it your daughter waving outside the plane?
The half and half shot is clever.
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is awesome. Capturing both scenes is quite the accomplishment. Love your header. Hope all is well in your part of the world. Genie
ReplyDeleteThat is a great reflection with both inside and outside at airport. In answer to your question, Yes, that is a regular Seattle manhole cover in the street downtown. And I agree with you about chocolate being soul food.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
That first shot is excellent. Nice to see Aimee!!
ReplyDeletenice pictures!! ew
ReplyDeleteYou captured the story perfectly!
ReplyDeleteRed hair is extremely handy when trying to spot people in crowds! Your shots remind me of a time long ago when you could sit on an observation deck at Heathrow and watch the planes landing and taking off - no longer possible in these days of maximum security of course.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Grace!
ReplyDeleteYes, it must be hard to have family so far away... not to mention having to fly to see them...
Nice captured
ReplyDeleteExtraordinary light effect in that first photo. It is almost surreal. And love the warm golden glow round the tarmac in the second photo.
ReplyDeleteVery clever that first photo Grace.
ReplyDeleteNice that Aimee is back home. Have a wonderful weekend.
I love the first photo--and it's easy to spot Aimee, even in the distance!
ReplyDeleteThese shots have such a lovely glow! Beautiful evening it appears too, and hooray your little girl is back home again!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots especially that first one.
ReplyDeleteHello Aimee!
All the best Jan
I love the effect of the first photo. At first I thought you must've blended 2 photos together
