No better way to begin a 40C day! Taken at 6.30am.. the reflections below are of the hibiscus bushes along the top edge of the garden. Especially refreshing after...
... 30 minutes on the treadmill, my dependable exercise buddy :) alternated with coffee, pastry and newspaper, life's too short to be obsessive right! I'd love to know how you start your day? Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe...
A good refreshing dip in the pool is always welcome- I tend to swim five or six times a week.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, walking on the treadmill. If I had room for one I might do that too. I don't really have a serious morning routine. I do listen to National Public Radio to get me started with the day's world news.
ReplyDeleteYour wonderful reflective shots are colorful and tres impressionistic! You excel yourself daily, G! Wouldn't you know: we just got a treadmill and are loving it. I'm remembering how it feels to feel GREAT with endurance for more joi de vivre! Love having you as my blog sistah!
ReplyDeleteSuperb captures!!
ReplyDeleteNice to have a pool when the heat strikes! You seem very disciplined with your routine Grace! I have no exercise routine at all. I got an exercise bike for Christmas which the physiotherapist recommended as being good for my back, but I probably use it once a week...bad, very bad!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful place to come awake! Especially on a hot summer's day. I crawl out of bed, fall on the floor, wait for some to put a cup of coffee in my hand, then slowly rise to my knees, drink the coffee, crawl back in bed and take a nap.
ReplyDeleteloving that bottom reflection shot :) fantastic colors! we're still having cooler weather (in Florida), thank goodness, low humidity and coolness...it's perfect :) I live each year for this couple of months respite...before I'm boiling in my skin again. I guess I didn't try hard enough to get my son to move out to Arizona :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I do LOVE these!! And what a great place to cool off!! Hope you're enjoying a wonderful weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThe reflections are beautiful! I start my day with a cup of coffee. :)
ReplyDeleteI get up at 6am to get Collin off to work. Then, most days I'm finally fully awake by noon.
ReplyDeleteThe water is a gorgeous blue and love the touches of colour reflected there. During the week it's just an early morning rush to work, but at weekends I usually go for morning walks and catch up on blogs I have not visited + more blogging of course.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cool place to hang out. Start my day with coffee and porridge with fruit and walnuts :)
ReplyDeleteJust the right amount of ripple in the water and I am sure when you are on the treadmill, there is little wobble.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I start my morning with coffee & light breakfast, quiet time for reflection/prayer, then I hop on the internet and catch up with the news before going to work or taking a walk. I don't turn the TV on anymore in the morning -- and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI get up and head out for a newspaper and then come back hand have tea and peanut butter on toast.
ReplyDeleteIt was -27˚C here this morning!!
ReplyDeleteTo swin at that time here would require breaking the ice.
ReplyDeleteFor that reason the last time I swam was 1985.
Start the day by checking I am still alive before doing anything else.
Well, I sometimes get up just after 04 in the morning to go to work.... Freezing cold outside, sometimes -13C.
ReplyDeleteLast week I have been to Gran Canary and had a week with sunshine and +25C. Fantastic! I love your shiny blue water images and they made me feel this week I just had.
Happy weekend to you and yours.
Getting out of bed, Grace. That'll be first. :-) Then breakfast.
ReplyDeleteHi Grace - Just like George Clooney I hit the button on my little red Nespresso and butter up a flakey croissant then I reach for my ipad to check out what's been happening around the world while I've been sleeping!!
ReplyDeleteWell done Grace, the pool looks really inviting...
ReplyDeleteI start my day with a hot bath and hot coffee. Everyday.
ReplyDeleteStunning shots, Grace - think you know what I do!!!
ReplyDelete40 degrees is not that cool, jump in the water!
ReplyDeleteUsually by trying not to be all too late for that thing called work... Nothing as enticing as this turquoise!
ReplyDeleteYou got my respect, Grace! I slept in ;-)
ReplyDeletesure looks cool to me
ReplyDeleteGreat water! I like the sound of coffee and a pastry in there too!
ReplyDeleteThe Beautiful Images!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's very cool!
