As well as Monday's mural magnifique (you can see un petit reflection in la fenêtre above) look what else I re-discovered in Fremantle's West Gate Mall, Le Forum, it's been a while since my last visit. Established in 2004 this independent bookstore brings the best of everything français to WA, books, music, movies it's all here. I came away with the latest So Frenchy So Chic CD for moi and for my brave little great niece who always says 'ooo la la' when she sees me :) a très French colouring book. So many tempting goodies I had to use un peu de contrainte! Hope you're having a good week, happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...
This looks like a fun place...I too would enjoy it :)
ReplyDeleteGreat to see bookstores thriving in this digital age...
Independent bookstores are the best...especially when they feature books on a subject you love. Your words make me think you are smiling wide. ;))
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the last time i was in a real bookstore. I order everything online these days. Listening to that Vimeo video as I'm typing this.
ReplyDeleteAh, my favorite kind of place!! Wish I could visit this one!! I agree with EG, your words make me think you are smiling wide indeed!!
ReplyDeleteI read that a new French bookstore is going to open in the Alliance Francaise building here. There is nothing like a good bookstore!
ReplyDeleteI wish we had unlimited money.......imagine how much junk we would have in our homes:) Bookstores are wonderful....especially when there is a cup of coffee involved:)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness Grace - talk about a shop mad just for you! Are the owners from France originally or just Francophiles?
ReplyDeleteJe suis sûre que ton banquier adore cette boutique, Grace !
ReplyDeleteBookstores are almost an extinct species in my area. Though I confess, I prefer ebooks, I do miss browsing in bookstores.
ReplyDeleteHehe, I also got a Paris-"pressie" for you for next time - no worries, you can use it and it was under 1-2€, from ALDI - but cute, I think :-)
ReplyDeleteAll I can "read" is "Le Petite Prince" by now, most of my French went down the drain. The weird numbers still are a bit present, though. Quatre-vingt-dix-neuf for ninety-nine, how complicated! Oh, the French :-)
I imagine a good many of these books would turn up in some of the French language stores here.
ReplyDeleteI think I would enjoy browsing in this store.
ReplyDeleteOo la la! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice place to be in and buy lots of funny books. I like that colouring book!
ReplyDeleteA shop you are very familiar with. I don't know that we have similar here.
ReplyDeleteI had a terrible time in a bookshop the other day, I couldn't find anything I wanted!
ReplyDeleteOoo la la, that is my kind of place too! They look like great books too.
ReplyDeleteOh lucky you, that looks like a great shop...
ReplyDeleteLong may independent shops like this continue!
ReplyDeleteTres Bon!
ReplyDeleteJust your cup of thé.
ReplyDeleteNot many independent book shops have survived in Norway.
ReplyDeleteSoooo YOU these finds you found.
Happy day to you Grace!
What a delight to see a bookstore anywhere in the world. I love my Kindle but I'm keeping (and adding to) my book collection.
ReplyDeleteGrace - I've had fun looking back over your recent posts. You offer such a variety. I am meeting people here on a regular basis who have visited Perth and they have loved it there! Looking at your blog, I can see why :).
Oooo la la you have a nice collection there.
ReplyDeleteParis is quite popular everywhere...
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect place for a Francophile. Oo la la!
ReplyDeleteI like to see independent bookstores, I'm glad people still buy books. Didn't know of the existence of this French bookshop in Fremantle. Thanks for the info Grace.
ReplyDeleteAre there dancing girls in there too? This shop would really have EVERYTHING. If so, a really loud Ooo, la la!
ReplyDeletehahahahaha
I'm bad.
Could get the aroma of books...mmmm
ReplyDeleteThis place would have caught my eye. Love Paris. I spent my 21st birthday there....and we all know how long ago that was. I have returned at least four times and will make my fifth trip in April.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Paris on the way to everywhere.?
An exquisite, unique little bookstore. A grand idea.
ReplyDeleteSchal we met in Paris !!!???
