Aimee and I had a lovely surprise when we walked through Pinneroo Valley Memorial Park last week. In an area overlooking the lake a new bronze by Iraqi born sculptor Ayad Alqaragholli, (informative link), you have seen his delightful work featured in Sculpture by the Sea here and here. This piece is a joy and in such a wonderful spot, it's as if the angels are ascending to heaven don't you think! The sculpture is so new that the plaque isn't up yet so I'm not sure what this piece is called..
Shooting from the front into the sun wasn't easy so I've gone all dramatic on this one.. well to be honest I didn't do much it was in silhouette anyway :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..
What a terrific sculpture!! I love it and your captures are wonderful -- as always!! Hope your week is going well!!

ReplyDeleteIncredible that weighty bronze can achive such a delicate and airy effect with these figures. A magical sight on the archway. And i like the silhouette effect too. Quite dramatic.

ReplyDeleteThey are so graceful. The last photo looks like a photo I would take, but without the stylishness.
ReplyDeleteShooting into the sun gives interesting results.
ReplyDeleteYou did a good job here.
ReplyDeleteFrom the back they look like they're running to take off. Yet from the front they do look like they're touching down. Makes you look even longer at thiw work.
ReplyDeleteHeavenly!!!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThis is a terrific piece of art Grace. The contrast to the max in the last photo is tres dramatique.
