But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red
Cryings not for me
Cause I ain't gonna stop the rain by complaining
Because I'm free
Nothing's bothering me...
Nothing's bothering me...
Had a fab time in the city yesterday, it was raining.. more like showers really, was fun watching the umbrellas pop up here.. and there! The little chap above screamed with delight when his mum leaned out into the rain and quickly back in. Cheese toasties and coffee in Tartine Cafe watching people rush by on Wellington St.. perfect kind of morning! Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.. p.s. catch up today!
You make us sing in your rain! Bonjour :-)
ReplyDeleteFun to see people/kids enjoying the rain! Great pics, Grace, as always!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't even like coffee and that looks nice to me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the rain, at least not if it is warm enough, glad you got a few rain snaps.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shots.
ReplyDeleteTomás.
Oh I hate rain, don't like to get wet and everything looks so miserable. I need some of your optimism because it rains cats and dogs here too, I want the sun back!
ReplyDeleteI like rain. Provided it doesn't rain all winter AND all spring which is what's happening AGAIN, therefore at the moment I have to agree with Biebkriegels, everything looks miserable.
ReplyDeleteBut, rain is a different story altogether in Perth, isn't it?! Love your first shot and can I have a bite of the toastie pleeeeeeaaase? :-)
Rain here today but I didn't have a great looking lunch like that!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rain.
Hmmmm ! Burt Bacharach, rain, hot chocolate .. My dream!! Your 1st shot is the kind I'd like to have on my wall to look at it every day ..
ReplyDeleteI especially like your first shot, Grace!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Why do I feel like taking a bike ride ? Am I dating myself again ?!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Grace! Love the first one. Rain is really wonderful to photograph.
ReplyDeleteThat's a superb picture at the top lass.
ReplyDeleteQuite why anyone would rejoice at rain I fail to comprehend but you have taken a super picture!
Real good.
The toastie makes me hungry and I'm in bed!!!!
And we're having a heatwave in the east.
ReplyDeleteThe first is sensational. Excellent for decoration romantic cafe.
ReplyDeleteSinging in the rain.....I love the first one very much.Kisses from Italy.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that looks so refreshing. We rain starved people just love it when it rains on us.

ReplyDeleteIt sure did come down for a while! Why does that 1st shot remind me pf Paris?
ReplyDeleteLove that first image! You are getting crazy good, Grace. All three are terrific. We had rain here today in the afternoon, so I went inside. Now I see that was a mistake . . .
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the first shot - absolutely inspiring. Nice post, Gracie. Unfortunately I wasn't enjoying driving back from Ferndale on the freeway in the rain...
ReplyDeleteAmazing collection, it seems wonderful, your graphics and logo are excellent. Thanks to post this blog.
ReplyDeleteLogo Designer Sydney
Rain, my mate in Sidney did not metion rain, he said it was 20deg. Rest assured you not the only one getting rain, we are as well
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fab way to spend the day Grace. I love the first photo with its focal point of the umbrella toting pedestrian reflected in the glistening pavement.
ReplyDeleteI guess by the time I am posting this it will be Happy Thursday Grace!
ReplyDeleteYou have made me eager to try rain photography.
ReplyDeleteAre there coloured tiles on the ground in that part of Perth, Grace? Because that first photo is definitely a great shot of a rain-bow :)
ReplyDeleteI thought you were in France when I saw the first shot. Rain is great after a long dry spell.
ReplyDeletePerth looks great in the rain, at least this street does. Makes me wish I had taken a couple of photos myself yesterday in the rain.
ReplyDeleteThat first shot almost looks like a painting! It's beautiful. Love the expression on the little one's face too.
Cute kiddo! :-) It´s raining over here, too, Grace, nonstop since yesterday. We´re down again to 10C... what kind of weather for a long weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe first shot is very good, Grace!
ReplyDeleteWhen it is raining I prefer to stay inside in an cafe :)
love rain shots...and I love rain...let those rain drops keep falling! I just read that Tucson, AZ USA is going to run out of water by 2030...Don and I lived there twice so this was sad news, even though it's been predicted for years. an aquifer only holds so much water and annual rain (when there is any) in the desert usually runs off quickly...not good
ReplyDeleteThe top image is like famous ART !
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rain. You probably get warmer rain "Down Under" than us living closer to the arctic area.
Perth is a very cool city and I'm glad you got some rain and you also seem to always find the best-looking goodies to eat, whatever the weather.
ReplyDeleteRe an outhouse: It's an outdoor privy or loo or toilet. My grandmother, who lived on a farm way up in northern Minnesota, did not have a bathroom in her home. We had to go outside, walk across the circular driveway and do our business in a little wooden shack with two holes. No running water. It stank. In the winter it was horrible.
This "outhouse" in Brownwood is not really an outhouse. It is a very nice, modern restroom with a section for men and a section for women. But the folks who run The Villages like to play and so they make up all kinds of stuff like calling this an outhouse to go with the theme of the old west. They also put names and dates on old buildings but all that is faux. As I've said, The Villages is a Disneyworld for adults!
Love the way that children can enjoy the elements and water holds a particular fascination. I, too, love to walk in the rain, with our without an umbrella.
ReplyDeleteThe first image is wonderful.
