Reflections from an office on the 13th floor of
ONE40WILLIAM. (excellent link). It was only after reading a post written by
Andrew in Melbourne pondering the superstitions associated with the number thirteen that made me register the floor number.. how do you feel about the No.13 bad luck or just another number? Why is it that whenever I catch a reflection (or five as below) of myself it's usually in something curved in a way that instead of making me look tall and slim, does the exact opposite :) Hope you have a wonderful weekend, it's a busy one here in Perth.. just for a change :) take care and stay safe...

Oh, these are stunning reflections indeed!!! I love them and they're so colorful!! Hope you have a great weekend, Grace!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool collage. It looks like little model buildings sitting on the office desks. Fabulous !
ReplyDeleteI like your chrismassy self-portrait!
ReplyDeleteThe 1st pic is giving me vertigo!!
Have a nice week-end, dear Gracie!

Like your white shoes :). I had to study the top shot...really intriguing. I have seen '13th floor' left out on so many buildings. Always feels like someone can't count. You have a super fun weekend!!
ReplyDeleteCareful talking about 13 you could make up a bunch of rules and accidentally start a new religion!
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't have taken a better reflection shot of yourself if you tried, flattering or not.
ReplyDeleteWow! Fascinating images.
ReplyDelete13 is just another number for me! I looooooove both those shots!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteI've tended to find superstitions to be rather pointless, personally...
HAPPY WEEKEND to you too:)
ReplyDeleteNice images!
In the UK new housing estates do not possess a 'Number 13.' Builders cannot sell houses numbered '13.'
ReplyDeleteI'm not superstitious, so 13 is just another number, but I have noticed some buildings do not have a 13th floor. I wonder if they wouldn't be able to sell or rent apartments or offices in a 13th floor. But then the 14th floor is actually the 13th!
ReplyDeleteThose are some great reflections.
ReplyDeleteI am not superstitious, but with this 2013 there is a lot going on in the world with wars, turmoil and typhoons etc. But your reflection looks exactly how I imagined your are looking...:))
ReplyDeleteThe reflection issue is probably caused by the convex shape of the balls. I assume the opposite phenomena would occur in a reflection into a concave object.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking building that is! I like it's lines very much. As far as the reflection goes, I've taken a few like that and usually discard them the minute I see my reflection. I don't need any more widening then I've already got.
ReplyDeleteAll this glitter is really eye-catching!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

I'm not superstitious at all.
ReplyDeleteLove the reflections!
Brilliant shots Grace, and as for personal reflections .. well .. it's a bit like the face in a spoon isn't it!!! I prefer not to see my reflection anywhere for I always seem to be wider and shorter than I think I am; perhaps someone needs to tell me something … …. have a lovely weekend! Joy x
ReplyDeleteBright shiny balls; not to worry; we all know that you are slim, svelte, and sexy!
ReplyDeleteMy Mum used to say Friday 13th is always a happy day :-)
