Even when it's freezing the walk along the West Coast road in the evening is pretty special.. definitely more exhilarating, we have to pick up the pace a wee bit just to keep warm! Aimee and I have a certain spot that we walk to (above), stop, admire the view for a few minutes before we head back. I caught this reflection in the window of one of the many beautiful homes we pass along the coast road, what amazing sights they see each night. Are you all looking forward to watching the Olympics? I am, most of it probably in the middle of the night, ahh! the joys of living in the second most remote city in the world, we're even two hours behind the rest of Australia! I'm tossing whether to set my alarm for 3am to watch the opening ceremony as it happens or watch the replay at a more civilized time!! What a beautiful way to end a day! Terrific captures! I will probably watch the Olympics or at least some of them! My late husband was silver medalist in the 62 Olympics, so my family and I have always watched them. Hope you have a great weekend, Grace!

As for the Olympics...um.....not sure. I love the opening and closing cermonies for the art but other than that.....:) Have a great weekend!

I'm hoping to watch the Olympics since it's being hosted in our old stomping grounds :) but not having cable or TV reception will be a wee bit challenging (the Internet will hopefully come to the rescue).

ReplyDeleteThe Olympics can become all-consuming. I am going to watch the opening ceremony on a delayed basis at the civilized time of 7:30 p.m. Some specific games I want to see might be live in the middle of the night . . . that is why they make alarm clocks!

ReplyDeleteI can identify with you. I am in the most remote county in the lower 48 (U.S.). One of the difficulties relating to that is getting a correct weather forecast.
