Not a bad spot.....!
Even when it's freezing the walk along the West Coast road in the evening is pretty special.. definitely more exhilarating, we have to pick up the pace a wee bit just to keep warm! Aimee and I have a certain spot that we walk to (above), stop, admire the view for a few minutes before we head back. I caught this reflection in the window of one of the many beautiful homes we pass along the coast road, what amazing sights they see each night. Are you all looking forward to watching the Olympics? I am, most of it probably in the middle of the night, ahh! the joys of living in the second most remote city in the world, we're even two hours behind the rest of Australia! I'm tossing whether to set my alarm for 3am to watch the opening ceremony as it happens or watch the replay at a more civilized time!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, take care and you know....keep safe!!
Good catch with the camera, Grace! Worth the early rise!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty shots, Grace! I doubt I will be watching any of the Olympics - somehow just can't get in the mood for it! We are still sweltering in the heat here, so just hearing about cool days helps!
ReplyDeleteDu hast aber auch unendlich viele wunderschöne Plätze dort...
ReplyDeleteLieben Gruß und Sonne im Herzen

What a beautiful way to end a day! Terrific captures! I will probably watch the Olympics or at least some of them! My late husband was silver medalist in the 62 Olympics, so my family and I have always watched them. Hope you have a great weekend, Grace!
ReplyDeleteNice place! The most remote city in the world... Gotta go there!
ReplyDeleteI would have to walk there every evening too. It just takes your breath away and makes you ready for whatever lies ahead.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Gracie.....nice place there.
ReplyDeletegreetings, Joop
What a fabulous spot for benches!I love the light here, the atmosphere, the mood.. i understand why you love this place!
ReplyDeleteI'll be watching the Opening ceremony in an hour and a half. For Once, we're in the right time zone! Have a nice week-end!
Gorgeous spot, well captured! And I'm in Olympic denial, I won't be watching.
ReplyDeleteRemote but beautiful. I'm not sure how much of the Olympics I'll be watching. Some for sure!
ReplyDeleteAnd that's why Perth is special:) I love that it's a remote city. I remember watching that TV special a long time ago thinking...this city is pretty sweet. As for the Olympics...um.....not sure. I love the opening and closing cermonies for the art but other than that.....:) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletePS. I can only imagine how cold the ocean is during your winter. But I sure do love those walks with a cup of coffee!
A gorgeous spot! Sigh, you live in a beautiful part of the world and sounds like the perfect walk! I'm hoping to watch the Olympics since it's being hosted in our old stomping grounds :) but not having cable or TV reception will be a wee bit challenging (the Internet will hopefully come to the rescue).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'll be watching the Olympics - the opening starts in 1 hour which is 4 pm here so very civilized.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos Grace! Just waiting for the Opening ceremony to commence... minutes to go, let's get the party started!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty scenery indeed. Watching the opening as I type. Queen Liz jumped from a helicopter! Odd.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful perth
ReplyDeleteThe magic hour lighting is really eye catching. It has been so cold in Melbourne that I did not visit the beach as much these days
An incredible series. You are such an excellent photographer. The light in these shots is just perfect; stunning! Kudos to you!
ReplyDeleteYou have great light on the horizon, Grace. Pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe Olympics can become all-consuming. I am going to watch the opening ceremony on a delayed basis at the civilized time of 7:30 p.m. Some specific games I want to see might be live in the middle of the night . . . that is why they make alarm clocks!
Yes, such a joy for the sense of sight. Please have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful there in the evening. Great shots, Grace.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and inspiring place at the end (or beginning) of the world!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Grace.
ReplyDeleteGreat view.
ReplyDeleteJust perfect ....Yes I'll be glued to the tv Grace ... fortunately we're a bit better off here ... this morning it was a respectable 5am start but wouldn't have missed it for anything.
ReplyDeleteWonderful view, wonderful sky, wonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteBut chilly? You mean 60%......pah!
Not a bad spot at all! Beautiful and great view!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend, Grace.
So this is where our summer disappeared to!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend Grace
Olympic coverage here in the States drives me crazy. Don't ask why. Too many reasons.
ReplyDeleteIt's a breathtaking image.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite part of the day. Fantastic light and shots, Grace.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures Grace! I watched part of the opening ceremonies last night before falling asleep. I set my DVR to record though, so I'll watch the rest today.
ReplyDeleteGreat post :)
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful spot to spend the day. lovely captures.
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots Grace. Such wonderful winter weather at the moment. Wondering if you made the 3am choice or go for a more civilised time to watch the Olympics.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous sunset. You are lucky to live by the water.
ReplyDeleteWow, Grace, these are fantastic shots. We would hang out even in the cold.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth :)
Such a vast and beautiful sky. The colours are gorgeous.
ReplyDeletelove that sky ..I'd walk with you there anytime .. and we missed the opening ceremonies because we were at a birthday celebration .. now Toonman is hunting on YouTube to see if it get posted (never considered recording it did he ... huh)
ReplyDeleteNot a bad spot indeed!
ReplyDeleteI can identify with you. I am in the most remote county in the lower 48 (U.S.). One of the difficulties relating to that is getting a correct weather forecast.
We too are enjoying the Olympics!
Breath taking captures Grace!!
ReplyDeleteLove that light!
ReplyDeleteWow. Amazing colours Grace! My Olympic experience happens this Saturday, with beach volleyball in the heart of London. Should be fun!
