Nothing but blue skies.....!
Well the skies over Perth are blue again, the rain will be back next week but a brief respite is always welcome. Thanks so much for the kind wishes, believe me some of the suggestions for dealing with a migraine will be trialed and tested next time. Robert in Athens I'm totally with you on the 'drink lots of water', this plus an apple a day is my sure fire cure for pretty much everything! Oh yes and some very 'interesting' suggestions re the aphids attacking my roses problem, best two the tobacco infusion suggested by Nick in Melbourne, definitely trying that one and the ladybugs, which we do have here but not in enough numbers to be effective, suggested by Pat in Toronto, leading me to follow up on a tip from Andrew in Melbourne and yes, you can mail order ladybugs from where else but a bug shop who knew!! The last time I took pictures of this sculpture of Rajah, Mila and Echo at Hillary's Marina was over a year ago, a sad story and a wonderful tribute to three gentle creatures, it's definitely one of my favourite sculptures around Perth. I know it sounds a little masochistic to say, but it's almost worth having a migraine once in a while to experience how fantastic it feels when it's gone, now if I could just get rid of the pinched nerve in my back haha!! Hope you have a fab weekend, stay safe.....

Wonderful Grace! Have a nice weekend. Glad you feel better.
ReplyDeleteGreat sculpture. Your light hearted post-migraine thought reminds me of the question (joke) about hitting your head with a hammer, ans. because it feels so good when I stop. I know its no joke, but a little humor sometimes helps.
ReplyDeleteLove that sculpture! Glad you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteMarvellous sculpture of dolphins! Arianna
ReplyDeleteBonjour Grace, contente que tu ailles mieux !
ReplyDeleteAnd what a way to come back with these beauties! I'm mean though, I'd love to send you my grey sky! :-)
Those dolphins are incredible! I'm glad you are feeling better and are back to blogging.
ReplyDeleteHope the ladybugs work!
Stupenda opera!! Buona serata e felice fine settimana....ciao
ReplyDeleteThe sculpture is perfect. Very nice and impressive. Nice day weekend wish you Peter.
ReplyDeleteThe sculptures are great and seem to be barely attached to the ground.
ReplyDeleteA blue for the soul. Thank you very much for the kind words. Please have you all a good weekend ahead.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely very beautiful weather down under, and yes lot of water !
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better (too much choc?). The dolphin sculpture was made by Charles Smith & Joan Walsh-Smiths (http://www.smithsculptors.com/) the same artist's who did the Kangaroos in Perth & other things.
ReplyDeleteYes great sculpture! We're finally getting some blue skies - and warmer temperatures - up in the Great White North!
ReplyDeleteMigraines followed by a pinched nerve? Why, Grace, you are absolutely falling to pieces!! I have never had migraines, so I am bereft of suggestions.
ReplyDeleteThese are nice sculptures.
Love the sculptures. Re the migraines, a friend who used to have them regularly, not even the painkillers were helping any more, went to an osteopath who aligned her skull (or something of the sort) and she has been migraine free since!
ReplyDeleteI like very much these shots. Have a nice w.e.
ReplyDeleteA big hug.

hope you continue to recover from the migraine. when they finally let go you're left feeling so fragile, aren't you? while visiting with my daughter she introduced me to a show called master chef. i thought aimee would make a great contestant.
ReplyDeleteFirst, in the thumbnail I thought they were real dolphins. Secondly, how stands the sculpture?. Third and finally, congratulations for the post. Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you are feeling better, Grace. The dolphins are happy for you too!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see that you are out and about again Grace. You have a fab weekend also.
ReplyDeleteThere's a similar sculpture next to the fort at Caxias! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you're feeling better (well...except for that pinched nerve!). Who can resist a sculpture of such fun frolicking dolphins?
