Grace on Hay.....!

In the reflection, Her Majesty's Theatre to the right and Her Grace in the centre haha!! Growing up being called Grace was a pain, if I had a dollar for every time I've been called Your Grace, Her Grace, Princess Grace, Amazing Grace (the most by far!!) or sing us a song Gracie (Fields), I'd be a very rich woman today.  In those days when someone uttered any of the above they'd get 'the stink eye' for sure, these days I'm pretty cool about it, in fact at my ancient age now I think I might even quite like it! Do you have a nickname or a 'twist' on your name that's followed you through the years?  I bet you have, come on fess up, we're all friends here!! TGIF I hope you have a really good one.....!!

  1. May I introduce myself: Rob the frog. It is a well known fact that frenchies eat frogs at each meal.

  2. My relatives/cousins etc. called me Pris -- you get the picture of what kind of prissy, little brat that I was!!!But at my "ancient age" these days, I'm just lucky if no one asks what an old broad like me is doing playing with a computer!!!

  3. A very creative photo, Miz Grace! And I think you have dealt with the "problem" posed by your name very gracefully!

Re your posterizing: Hopefully, your program will allow you to manipulate the intensity of the process. Sometimes I find if I back off a bit the photo looks much better.

It's still Thursday here, but I'll wish you a good weekend anyway! :-)

  7. You are so clever - and I think you are amazing...so...Amazing Grace fits! My maiden name was Seymour, and my father was a police officer...so I got all the usual "see more" jokes...Plus, I had (still have) red hair...so I had my share of nicknames. My dad always said the "sticks and stones" thing to me, but as a kid, being teased was not easy to take. The only consolation I had was that my dad wore a gun, so if things got too bad, I could always hope he would take care of the bad guys! Have a great day, Ms. Grace. Always a pleasure to visit you!
