Blue, white and red.....!!

In complete contrast to the previous day's ominous clouds, the skies yesterday were almost clear blue and the temperature a mild 19C, perfect for walking....on the last stretch home up the hill from Hillary's Marina there is a road lined with flowering Flame trees and I couldn't resist the combination of blue, white and red....hmm! les coleurs of a certain flag oui.....!! It's also my contribution to Skywatch Friday...Hope you have an excellent Friday.....!!

    Several countries! Your's, ours, the UK, France, Norway, Russia, Nepal (best flag in the world, the only one that isn't a rectangle), Thailand, Chile, Cuba and I'm sure many others. The colors do work really well together.

    Nice photo with the promise of spring. Oh that would be so cold here. I love the heat. But now we have summer and about 30 degrees. Great weekend wishes Peter.

    Hey! Where's your sense of patriotism??!! It's the OZ flag colours too (along with many others as per above comment!!). But maybe that's why - the colours are so great together - and the flame trees worthy of being one of my FavouRED OZ Things!!!

    In the US we'd say, "Aha! The good ol' red, white and blue." Well, some people would say that!

    It's a beautiful shot. Not heard of a flame tree before. Did you process this at all? It's got so much vitality...I like!

    you've captured the true Aussie colors. Although i'm sure some might disagree because I've heard Green and Yellow were the real Aussie Colors.
